Flag Day

Residents gathered for an observance of Flag Day which is held on June 14th of every year. Many veterans and servicemen saluted the flag that flew proudly above the main campus of Plum Creek. During this beautiful day, attendees celebrated the resolution made by the Second Continental Congress, which was made on June 14, 1777 and established the true flag of the nation. President Woodrow Wilson called for observation of Flag Day in 1916, but it wasn't until 1949 that President Harry Truman signed it into permanent observation.
